RE vs. SH -poll

Well, which do you like and what are your reasons? I prefer RE. I belive that RE games are thought out and have excellent replay value...also, I like zombies.RE vs. SH -poll
Silent Hill. It's actually scary for one and it's art direction, sound design and storytelling (at least within the horror genre) are without peer. IMO the dark, psychological torment the series gives easily outclasses the cheap and cheesy, B-movie shocks of the RE series. They're are always full of extra material and the multiple endings give plenty of incentive to replay them. Silent Hill 2 in particular still stands as the greatest horror game I've ever played. silent hill is scarier but i have always enjoyed killing zombies, so its re for me,^^
Big fan of both, I do like my horror games. Resident Evil was the first game to really scare the hell out of me, not only that but its defiantly one of the most memorable games I have ever played, even though the series has took a different turn it is still one of the greatest series of all time, I find RE relies heavily on jump scares what is the opposite of SH. IMO Silent Hill has far superior story, characters, atmosphere, emotion, music, horror than RE, SH games are truly scary and always keeps you on your toes, it psychologically pins you down and barley ever lets you up, I also think SH2 is the greatest horror game of all time.
the resident evil games are a lot more better than the silent hill ones
Depends i play both, and love both, i have to say, silent hill scares the**** out of me, im used to re though, i do get the occasional ''jump'' but thats it, but i think i have to go with RE
For me RE is better even though Silent Hill is ok i just like RE more.

Hard choice. Silent Hill is FAR scarier and has a better atmosphere, but RE is more fun to actually play.
I just got tired of killing zombies. sure RE has the better gameplay but i am more into the story and the development of characters like in SH2. So i am going with Silent Hill.
HTML clipboardI do not really think the two series really compare that well to be honest with you. Silent Hill is more story driven and relies more on the psychological terror aspect whereas the Resident Evil games are more just in your face heart pounding action paced. (Especially Resident Evil 4) Now if you were comparing the Fatal Frame series to the Silent Hill series then things would get interesting.....
Resident Evil. Obviously.But i can see myself liking Silent Hill more in the future with the route that RE has taken with 4 and 5.
i rate RE higher mainly because of RE4 which is one of the best games ever in my opinion
I don't like survival horror much so I go with RE since 4 has fun gameplay.
