Super Mario RPG is highly overrated. It's a good game, but it was very basic at the core. My vote goes to Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door.Best RPG that had Mario as the main character.

It had really good graphics for the time, an awesome story, creative enemies, cool weapons and items, and it had a nice challenge.Although I have to agree with you- PM:TTYD was a really awesome game.
