downgrade gamertag to xbox 1?

i thought i might go back to xbox 1 now that my 360s dead and going to repairs.. can i downgrade my gamertag?downgrade gamertag to xbox 1?
i doubt it....but isnt the orginal xbox's live free? downgrade gamertag to xbox 1?
