Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the warlords

for some reason, the game just isnt running right on both my ps3 and ps2. it seems like its constantly flashing, and the text is almost impossible to read. on my ps3, the flashes different colors all over the entire screen, except on the loading screens and on the advertisements in the beginning. why is it doing this? does anyone know?
