Bring back side scrollers

Seriously. With braid and bion comando(even with the wierd controls and th fact its a remake) we know there is still life in this genre, with old and new ideas. There should be on steam, psn and xbl a dedicated side scroller area, that is broken up into retro, remake, puzzle and action. Seriously, this might be the year they come back! imagine lost winds starring mario! or the next metroid going back to its roots! If thiss does happen, I'll be first. in line. Plus, was it just me or does it seem all the nintendo games are super orignal? Even today compared against stuff we have now...Bring back side scrollers

they should put some side scrollers on wii ware.
Hey buddy, The only thing that doesn't change, is that things change! 2-D and side scrollers are old-hat. The future is the illusion of real. You will see some labours of love pop up that turn out to be amazing and beautiful side scrolling games....but most gamers want that ''wow'' factor. Don't get me wrong...when I first played Sonic back in the day, I was definately ''wowified'', but the technology and audience has advanced to the point where the new is in demand. Don't worry though bro, all those great games are floating around waiting to be discovered by the curious gamer.
YES!i miss the old mario, if i could choose between playing super mario galaxy or super mario bros 3 for 6 hours straight, i wouldnt really do either but id prefer Mario bros 3. If only they could make a console, with 16bit graphics, wireless controllers and online capabilities. If they sold it for like $100, everyone looking for a old school snes/genesis like experience will buy one.hmm... maybe sega can bring it out, they were awesome in the 16bit era.

Ever hear of XBL arcade ? take a look. Plenty to go around.
im curious when the new super mario bros sequel wil come to the ds.
you have them on the x360
i agree. side scrollers are really fun. there should be more.
I agree seeing though how capcom is making megaman 9 in 8-bit graphics and a bunch of retro remakes
Side scrollers are comming. Just not as much back in the day but there's nothing we can do about side scrollers. Gaming has changed since the 8-bit era. People these days want to play shooters online.
I want a remake of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 4: Turtles In Time or atleast a port or Virtual Console/X-Box Live-Arcade version.
miss those side scrolling games! good times!
i want a streets of rage remake....
The game of my childhood.
It seems that nowadays, the best way to bring back classic 2D gaming is to make them yourself.

It's doubtful that major developers will want to do anything but 3D graphics-fests, but you always have those indie developers making games like, say, Cave Story and La-Mulana. Why not train yourself to join their ranks?
i want a streets of rage remake....
Streets of Rage is one of my most favourite retro games and I would actually love to see a current gen remake, I mean Sega is making one for Golden Axe so why not Streets of Rage? As long as they don't mess it up an stick to the spirit of Streets of Rage I can see the game being awesome.
