Used Xboxes

Do they still sell used Xboxes at EB, and how much do they go for? I really want to play halo and halo 2.Used Xboxes
Your best option would be the PC for Halo 1, but yes, they do still sell the original Xbox. They're 60 dollars used.Used Xboxes
Why would PC be the best bet for Halo 1?
Why would PC be the best bet for Halo 1?
-KB+M controls

-Mods

-Online play, no tunneling required

-Better graphics through higher resolutions

-Fuel Rod Gun and Flamethrower in multiplayer (strangely, the FRG in this game behaves like an energy weapon ammo-wise, unlike in Halo 2)

However, there is one omission from the PC version: co-op. I still don't get why they cut that out. If you really like the co-op mode that much, you have no choice other than the Xbox version.

Anyway, I'd still say that the older Xbox is still worth it if you get it cheaply. You can't get Jet Set Radio Future, Panzer Dragoon Orta, or Steel Battalion on any other platform (okay, I take that back; JSRF and PDO are on the X360 backwards-compatibility list), and Xboxes can be turned into proper computers more easily than other consoles.

 • I prefer console controls for shooters.
 • I don't usually care for mods.
 • Online play is unnecessary.
 • The graphics aren't bad.
 • More guns isn't necessary.
Besides, the Xbox is far more portable than a PC if one is taking it to a LAN or something.
Besides, the Xbox is far more portable than a PC if one is taking it to a LAN or something.
Laptop?I've completed Halo on PC and Xbox and I loved it on both. I know what he means with keyboard and mouse support being really good, but the Xbox analogue sticks are so accurate for FPS's that I was playing through the game very comfortably without missing keyboard and mouse. Infact, I started to prefer the Xbox controller for all games compared to kb%26mouse apart from strategy when I had my Xbox. For some reason the game XIII controlled horribly on the Xbox.

-Halo PC has good DirectInput gamepad support, so it's not like that isn't an option for you. However, since I don't play PC FPSs with a gamepad, I don't know if they kept the light auto-aim in with that method.

-Your preference, but at least they're there if you change your mind.

-See above.

-I never said they were bad, just that the PC had an edge due to the simple fact that its version can run at resolutions beyond 640x480p.

-I don't really consider them necessary either. In fact, you can disable just those two new weapons in a multiplayer session. (Oh, I forgot to mention that Halo PC also lets you use Banshees in multiplayer, as well as a Rocket Warthog with a triple-barrel rocket launcher. However, the Banshee in Halo PC is so ridiculously overpowered because you can still use its Fuel Rod Gun, which flips over Warthogs and Ghosts with ease.)

Also, you forgot to take into account small-form-factor PCs and laptops that are even more portable than any Xbox out there.

If there's one particular argument going in the favor of the Xbox, it's that you can get one that can play Halo and a bunch of other games for much cheaper than a PC that can play the same games, though the PC obviously does so much more.
I suppose I stand corrected on a few points. :)I guess I just don't care for PC games, though that does not eliminate the viability of that platform as an option.
60 dollars?!?!? , in the UK our leading game shop called game is selling Oxboxes for 10 pounds lol
