My pokemon gold internal battery died. :(I whipped out Pokemon Yellow and I have a team of Pikachu, Charizard, Blastiose, Kadabra, Graveler, and Vileplume all at level 50, and I hope its internal battery doesn't die soon.Legacy Pokemon
I always enojyed R/B the most. G/S added some new things but the stable of pokemon wasn't nearly as good.
yeah blue and red. consumed most of my childhood time. playing them on the first gameboy ever. good times. remember that glitch where u can get the 'hidden' pokemon? i forget his name i think it starts with an 'M'.
Missingno
ah i remember that, i had pokemon red, i ended up getting a missingno that had a mew cry
I spent many hours on both red and gold. Liked gold better. These games have so much depth. I still like the newer ones though.

Those are very easy to replace. Just get a CR2032 battery off eBay or at a local battery retailer, open your cartridge, pop the old one out without breaking the contacts, then tape the new one in and screw it back together.

lol at above post. Get real.I lost three years to the first two generations, it was so ADDICTIVE! Sadly, the epic scale achievd in G/S hasn't been used in recent games..
Blue was my favorite, by far.My Team: Charizard, Blastoise, Venusaur, Pidgeot, Alakazam, Dragonite. I don't ever really like to use legendaries:PYeah there was missingno, and also the item duplication trick. aka the ''rare candy code''
Ahh yes the days of Red and Blue. Let's take a stroll down memory lane, shall we? let's shall!-I used to call myself Red, and Gary was Blue (vice-versa for the other version).
-You had one pocket to hold friggin' everything.
-You couldn't run, so until you got that bike voucher, you were hikin' it.
-The Pokemon's design made them look like monsters. Blastoise always looked scary, but Charizard was kind of cute with his head down.
-The best stragety to win was to have a pokemon with flamethrower, ice beam, thunderbolt, and earthquake.
-Missigno f'd up your game.
-That truck by the SS Anne is still a mystery.

Also i have red, yellow, blue (i bought it in Thailand but its a fake game,it lose's your save after 4 hours), gold, crystal, ruby and sapphire. My Sapphire is the best i have all the pokemon from every generation (not including D/P) and 30 shinys :D.
What I absolutely loved in G/S/C was that after you beat the Jhoto League, you could travel back to Kanto, and get the badges from there also. We need a Pokemon game where there's a way to capture every Pokemon WITHOUT events, and where you can travel to each region and battle for those badges.
Pokemon will always have a place in my heart. I want to pick up a Crystal version and a SP but im afraid the battery would be dead.I remember back in the day my Red version's battery died so instead of getting rid of it I would use it to get starters and trade them to my Silver and my brothers Gold.I would always catch a Pidgey, it will always be my favorite flying pokemon.I remember when legendarys were actually valuable. They aren't in newer games because of cloning/hacking. Back in the day you had to dish out a rare poke to get your hands on legendarys.Me and my brother would have epic 1 on 1 fights between my Primeape and his Charizard. We would both have it trained to 99 (or 100, whatever the max was) and his Charizard would always win until I used a bunch of Proteins and Irons and made my Primeape powerful. At my friends and my birthday partys we would all bring our Gameboy Color and copy of Pokemon and trade and battle all night. We thought Pokemon Stadium was epic to be able to see our Pokes in 3D. I traded a Ekans for a Mr Mime :)We all had literally explored every inch of every game and whenever someone had found something new or different we would all rush to see it. We lived in the world of Pokemon. We were Ash, Red, Blue, or whatever we named our characters. We wanted to be Pokemon masters. One night it was my bed time and my mom called me to go to bed but I asked for 1 more minute and I found a Entei. I thought I was the luckiest kid alive.Me and my brother used to always headbutt trees to find Heracrosses and I finally found one. :) My brother wanted to trade anything or it because Ash had caught one on the Tv show.My brother got a blue version for his birthday and then went out and bought a red version so he gave me the blue version. I was at the pool when he said I could have his Blue version. I remember all day at the pool I would just dream of becoming a pokemon master and going about on my journey.I would choose the grass starter and my brother would always choose the fire starter. Chickorita seems to be hated alot but it is my favorite starter.Me and my brother would watch the Tv show every Saturday. We would dance and sing to the opening theme song. One Saturday morning we had a garage sale and I had to miss the Episode when Ash took on the Fire gym Leader (forgot his name) and I was so mad because I didnt get to see Magmar use Fireblast, which I always thought was an awesome attack because it looks like a person when he shoots it.Ever since one of the first episodes when Ash broke Mistys bike I would always ask my brother when he was going to have to get her a new one. That was the same episode that Pikachu shocked a load of Spearow. Obviously Pokemon played a rather large role in my childhood. I should of probably put this in my blog butI just couldnt stop typing now. I dont think anyone will read all this :P
Silver was my favorite of all with Red at a close second
Yes, the first two generations easily kicked the living crap out of the third and fourth. I played Silver the most. Man, Gold and Silver were amazing games.I think my favorite Pokemon was Charizard or Tyranitar.
diamond and pearl > old school pokemon games
The correct answer is Diamon/Pearl= the worst Pokemon versions EVER.Seriously, if those are your favorite ones, then you obviously don't know what Pokemon is all about. You either werent there from the start, or you missed some of the games.Diamond and Pearl had the worst batch of Pokemon ever. Most of them either didn't look like Pokemon or were unoriginal in design. And the gameplay wasnt changed at all. They just updated the graphic and made it online compatible.

That was a good bit of nostalgia right there. :)I'd love to put some of my own stories but there are so many and I'd just rather not delve into my past. It's amazing just how much pokemon did impact our lives
