Pokemon GBA games question, I just can't make up my mind!

Here's my little story. I have been playing the pokemon crystal version (for gbc made in 2000). It is my first pokemon game. I must say I like it. I want to play more pokemon games like it, but without the exact same story. I was thinking sapphire(made in 2002 for GBA), leaf green(a remake of blue/green from 1996 for GB, made in 2004 for GBA) Or last but who knows if least emerald(made in 2005 for GBA). I have a game boy advance sp(plays gbc games and gba games, it was made in 2002). Ok, so knowing what I have played, what I want(kinda) and what platform I have, can someone please help me pick what game to get next. Thank you for any and all help.JetPokemon GBA games question, I just can't make up my mind!
Well, i believe pokemon blue and red are the same stories as pokemon crystal, so getting pokemon Leaf Green and Fire Red is not the way to go imo,
Id say get Emerald because im pretty sure its Ruby and Sapphire together and it's a differnet story from Red/Yellow/Blue

If you want my opinion, I really didn't like FireRed or LeafGreen, but mind you I used to be obsessed with Red and Blue back in the late 90's. Ruby and Sapphire are pretty good, though not quite as good as GSC (my favourite three in the series). I haven't played Emerald. So, i'd say you go for Sapphire, although I reckon you should get LeafGreen eventually as it is a remake of RBY.
Fire Red/Leaf Green is very enjoyable since it is a remake of the originals. It's updated to include some newer features including new areas which you can visit after a certain part of the game (which include some familiar Pokemon from your Crystal version).Emerald would be the way to go over Ruby/Sapphire simply because it's essentially the same game with numerous perks. Animated Pokemon sprites (like in Crystal, just a little movement at the beginning of battle), catching both Groudon and Kyogre, and some feature similar to Battle Tower.Since you seem to know your stuff I assume you are aware that you can't trade between Crystal and any of the above mentioned games, but I thought I'd mention it anyway. My final suggestion would be to save up for a DS after you get one of these and then buy Diamond, Pearl, or Platinum (if it's out by then). You can't trade between GBA and DS Pokemon games but you can permanently transfer your GBA Pokemon to your DS game.I'd suggest checking out http://serebii.net/index2.shtml for any other questions you might have.EDIT: and Meska2 is incorrect. Crystal does not have the same story as Red/Blue/Green. It has the same story as Gold/Silver, so Fire Red/Leaf Green would be different from what you already have.
Emerald is the best gba pokemon
Thank you guys. You all were very helpful.Jet
