I'd go with 3.$30 Silent Hill 3 worth it?
Don't get 4, it's not Silent Hill. It's full of flying ghosts which you can't even kill, and it isn't set in Silent Hill. I haven't played 3 but if you can get 2 it's worth $30.
Silent Hill 3 sort of finishes off the story from the original Silent Hill. I prefer it to be the weakest Silent Hill title out of the five so far. Many people say Silent Hill 4 is not great, but the best way to find out is for you to rent it or buy a used copy to see for yourself. I personally loved SH4.Silent Hill 2 has a great Story, great atmosphere and enemies, a must buy. Silent Hill Origins on the PSP is great, for the PS2 is terrible.
Silent Hill 3 is fantastic IMO.. I popped it back in a while back and was so shocked by how good the graphics were still.. with that said its a really chilling game. Silent Hill 2 is also fantastic unless you can't get pass the goofy graphics.

4 was the weak link but they're all equally worth it. I'd say SH3 for $30 is a bit much but if you never played it (or want it for your collection after regretting selling it years ago :() but all in all, great game.
Get Silent Hill 3 it's better than 4 and well worth the $30.

Check the SH3 review yourself on Gamespot.. it mentiosn they redid the whole game from scatch so its not like the small improvement you saw like from GTA Vice City to GTA SA.. it was very noticeable. If you still get a good atmosphere from SH1 then 2 should be no problem.. SH2 was really higly acclaimed with a great story and all. But myself, SH3 disturbed me way more than SH2 did...
3 is my favorite and to me it was a worthy purchase at full price so I would definitely advise it for 30$. I played through that game so many times that I knew it like the back of my hand.

Silent Hill 3 is AMAZING. It'll get you into the series like it did to me. once you beat, IMEDIATELY go out and buy SH2. you wont regret it.

Silent Hill 3 was my first silent hill game and i loved it. Its a must buy. I thought it was the best in the series with the second game right behind. I never played the first game because it is hard to find. I am planning on getting origins soon. Should i get Origins for ps2 or psp?
