FFX help ! calm lands guard wont leave

hi, i am trying to get the legendary weapon for tidus but the guard wont let me go get it.i have sun crest and sun sigil and celestial mirror, i did the chocobo race with 0.0 seconds i am also at the part where i use the ship to go to sin,what do i have to do to get the legendary weapon.tks :) FFX help ! calm lands guard wont leave
I'm pretty sure you have to go to where the guard is right after the chocobo race. You cant go anywhere else off screen or he will be guarding it again, you are gonna have to do the race again man...sorry.FFX help ! calm lands guard wont leave
