I am going to assume that most, but not all of the users on this forum are dudes. What does your girlfriend, wife, girl you like, friend who is a girl, girl you have a crush on, FOB, girl you met at school, girl next door, girl up the stairs with all that perfumed hair, housemate, girl you like but never have the guts to talk to, girl who likes you but you don't like her, chick you met at a party or hot third cousin think of your video game hobby or older games? What about you guys who have amassed collections?Iv'e found that across the board, with exception to the Wii, chicks like the old school stuff. I think the violence, complexity and learning curve of newer games just turns girls off. It also shows that you are not dumping $50 a year into Xbox live, paying $60 for games, and buying $400 consoles and instead have that money to spend on them. It's a little awkward when I have to tell a girl what a Sega CD is and when they ask why I have 40+ games for it that I never play. The most awkward moment I had recently was when I moved into a new apartment. Lots of my boxes were filled with 3DO games, Saturn games, Turbo Grafx 16 games, etc... Nerdy stuff to people who are not at all interested in it. The box carrying my Saturn games got messed up and I needed help carrying it. This hot girl who lives in the building saw me struggling and offered to help. She asked what ''Panzer Dragoon'' was and I just started laughing. That was that, we talked a bit etc... She didn't know or want to know anything about the 32bit dual processor 2D fighting powerhouse that was the Sega Saturn and I didn't offer to tell her either. What about you guys?Better yet, the girls on this board should speak up!
What do girls think of your legacy gaming?
Girls I know love the older stuff. It reminds them of when they were kids. If you're in your 20's pop in Super Mario Brothers and you're all good. What do girls think of your legacy gaming?
Oh, they love all the Mario games for NES and SNES... Donkey Kong Country, Tetris, and Sonic are pretty popular too...
My next door neighboor comes to my house every week just to play my NES...I don't really play it that much so i already asked her if she wanted me to let her bring it home, but she always say's no...

Yeah, my girlfriend thinks it's lame. She's all into Next gen, and nintendo over all the games I play. Lol. Bish.

My wife is pretty understanding about my gaming. She knows it's something I need to do to be happy in life. But it is a hard pitch trying to explain shelling out $85 for a copy of Tactics Ogre for PS1 on EBay when you have a joint account.
My girlfriend is a gamer and is actually a big fan of the collection I have, cuz it's nearly 4 times the games she has.
Girls don't really know that I have a collection to be honest. They never ask and I never tell.
My girlfriend isn't a gamer...she just rolls her eyes whenever I buy a new game. She did enjoy watching me play through Final Fantasy X and the Xenosaga series though.:D
Most of the girls in my school know me as ''The Guitar Hero Guy''. Most of them like it, the others dont care.
My GF loves Sonic 1 and 2
my gf loves the SNES more than my other consoles. she gets annoyed when i play my PS2 without her though. when i let her play she doesnt know what shes doing so thats when i pull out the SNES so we can both play some Mario.
Mario is the only game shes better than me at lol. she beat the game countless times.
Well I (girl gamer here) rarely play any old school systems except for ps2, but my friends love playing all the Mario games. If there's a new Mario Party or Kart you can bet they'll buy it the week it comes out. They don't understand why I'm not as excited as them when it comes to mario:?
They know they can only be second best to the collection

[/QUOTE]Well come on, what happened next, did you hit it off? And for the other guy who wants to lend his NES out to her, are you crazy man? Nevermind the game, you have a girl who is interested in gaming, you should grab onto her!In my case she wasn't very sympathetic to me initially, but then I was really hardcore gaming all the time and not giving her enough attention, the consummate gamer a*hole if you ask me. Since I have toned it down she started enjoying gaming, and now she asks me to play Burnout Revenge with her, henceforth known as ''Car Game''.

I don't think most of them know about it... they would probably find it hawt though.
