I want an RPG with an exceptional story, it doesn't really matter what kind of story just something that is deep and entertaining. Any suggestions?PS2 RPGs with really good stories?

Gonna go with Final Fantasy X. And do you want a specific sub genre (action RPG, WRPG, JRPG, strategy RPG)?
Valkyrie Profile: Sylmaria.
Valkyrie Profile: Sylmaria.
I played that a few months ago, while the story was OK at best I found that there was too much of a gap between the little bits they'd feed you. Play for a few hours, get a few mins of story. As for great games with story I'd recommend the Legacy of Kain series. While it starts on the ps1 the story really takes off on the ps2 titles. That said the series never finished which is truly sad. As previously mentioned the Xenosaga series has a great story going for it and Final Fantasy X is certainly a good time. I enjoyed Breath of Fire: Dragon Quarter a lot as well. You should definately look into getting a copy of Psychonauts and Beyond Good %26 Evil. And finally the Prince of Persia games on the ps2 had a great story going for them.
Persona 3, Shin Megami Tensei 3: Nocturne, Shadow Hearts, Shadow Hearts: Covenant.
As for type of RPG it doesn't matter, and I've played FFX, PoP, and BoFV but thanks for the recommendations anyway.
Persona 3 FES' story is amazing and its only 30 bucks for over a 100 hours of gameplay.
Suikoden games have good stories you ought to look into them and they can be found for cheap at gamestop.
Tales Of the Abyss...Super nice...story is amazing
Tales Of the Abyss...Super nice...story is amazing
Well, I planned on getting Tales of Vesperia also this week, so would you say ToA is better than ToV?
Tales of Vesperia looks like a lot of fun, but Abyss as of now is the best Tales game. It's hard to find though, so if you ever get a chance, pick it up.
If you want to play a perfect RPG play Dragon quest VIII,probably you already played no??I finished the game yesterday!!
Tales of Vesperia and Chrono Trigger are for Ps2??????I know there was a Chrono Trgger for PS1,is that the only one??
Tales of Vesperia and Chrono Trigger are for Ps2??????I know there was a Chrono Trgger for PS1,is that the only one??
Yeah, I've already played DQVIII and Tales of Vesperia is for the X360 and Chrono Trigger (was ported to the PS1) and is being re-released on the DS.
Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturneand if you get the True Demon Ending................
I loved Arc the Lad: Twilight of the Spirits cutscenes. When it wasn't being reverse clique, it involved betrayal, distrust, and demon gore. Lots of screaming.
