I own every single console Metal Gear game but still haven't beaten any, they just sit unplayed. I am planning on beating them all in a row in two or three sittings (i have alot of free time). I'm just wondering what are the lengths of each game?Metal Gear Length.
Metal Gear or Metal Gear Solid?....Metal Gear Solid....depends...on what difficulty you play on. Shouldn't take you too long to really play the game, just a lot of cutscenes :).Metal Gear Length.
the length gets longer throughout the series it would seem, if you want to play it in the correct order, play it 3,1,2,4

numerical order is the way I prefer.Makes more sense
I could care less about the order. I just want to know how many hours each game is.
I could care less about the order. I just want to know how many hours each game is.
That all depends on you.
It depends what diff. you play on and how good you are. Also, play them numerical first time round. Makes one helluva lot more sense.

The OP wants a simple answer and here they are:MGS 1: Approx 6-10 hrsMGS 2: Approx 14-18 hrsMGS 3: Approx 15-20 hrsAgain, there is something to be said for what the posters on topic have said, which is why there is a variation to the hours, but as long as you get the groove of the games and assuming you don't get hardcore stuck, this give you an idea of overall length. If you look up cheats or hints on some of the tougher portions of these games (ie: Psycho Mantis on 1 and The End on 3) you can shave some time off. I warn you, however, don't run into these with the goal to get to the end as quickly as possible as you can get stuck very quickly. On the plus side, the stories should suck you in for all three.
Sorry, and MGS 4, since I have only played through once, took about 16 hrs on the very middle setting (there are 5 difficulties).

The rest is all fresh to me. Thanks for the advice as well.
